I ran. I ran as fast as I could. My friends Anna and Paige were behind me. They caught up. We didn’t know what was chasing us and why. We were too afraid to look behind us. Is it a monster? Is it a person? Or is it just a little bird? We didn’t know. Finally Paige looked behind her. She didn’t see anything. Were we in a dream? No. We couldn’t be in a dream. Everything looked so real! We slowed down. I didn’t know where we were. Anna whispered, “Guys, if we don’t know where we are, we got to find shelter. A place we could live in for a few days.”
“You’re right, how about there?” I replied pointing to a cave. Anna and Paige looked at eachother and nodded. We walked to the cave. There was candles everywhere. There were drawings on the walls. It looked like two family’s. Paige said, “someone lives here.” We saw to big shadows. “AHHHHHHHHH!” We all screamed. Two girls stepped out.
“Are you ok?” One girl said, “The names Lily. And this is Mila”
I answered, “My names Ruchi. This is Anna and Paige.” We told Lily and Mila how we got here. Mila said she got here the same way. Soon we all became friends. Lily and Mila taught us how to get food too.
One night there was thunder. We all sat in a circle shivering. “How about we sing a song so loud we can’t hear the thunder!” Whispered Lily and Mila. Paige, Anna, and I agreed. After singing about three songs we couldn't hear the thunder and fell asleep. The next day, Lily explained that the drawings on the walls were their family's. Anna, Paige, and I drew our family's too. We also tried to figure out who chased us. It was no use. “He could have been invisible!” said Mila. I answered, “Invisible? that’s impossible!” Lily laughed and shoved a book in my face. The book was dark, brown, dusty, and gigantic! “Turn to page 64” said Mila. I opened to page 64 and the first thing I saw was the word, “invisibility.”
On the page it showed the ingredients to the recipe, how to make it, and that when you’re invisible you can see invisible people too! Anna blurted out, “Let’s make this potion!” “Yeah, with this potion we can be invisible and we can track down the guy who chased us!” Paige answered. Lily said, “that’s the problem! We tried to make this once, but the ingredients were impossible to find!”
Mila replied, “but if we work together, nothing’s impossible!” We all laughed. Then we read all the ingredients. This is what it said:
- Dragons blood
- A crushed diamond
- One cup of water
- Berry juice
- Two violets
- One daisy’s petals
- The middle, yellow, part of the daisy
- Pixiedust
We decided we would try to find the easy things first. Lily ran to get a cup of water while Mila squeezed some juice out of a berry. Paige and Anna got the two violets and I got a daisy. After about fifteen minutes or so, we all came back. “Got it?” I said unexpectedly. They all nodded. We put the ingredients on a table. Now we had to find dragon blood, a crushed diamond, and pixiedust. Anna said, “I know where to find dragon blood! Remember, Henry? He was a dragon! We could maybe just take a teeny bit of blood from him!” Both Mila and Lily answered at the same time, “who’s, HENRY?” Paige explained to Lily and Mila about the pet dragon they used to have. Mila said, “So he’s in the woods?” I nodded. We all gathered bow and arrows, food, a torch, extra water, the book, and a sack that carried all the ingredients for the invisibility potion. We finally headed out with all our stuff. We walked for miles, but there was no sign of a dragon. It was getting dark, so we found a place to sleep. After we ate dinner, we slept on the grass.
In the morning we were woken up by the sunlight. “we can’t give up. Come on, let’s try to find the dragon again.” They all groaned but agreed.
We walked and walked. Finally we heard a roar. Then a growl. I could see Lily and Mila were scared. But Paige, Anna, and I weren’t scared because we knew Henry wasn’t dangerous. “Henry?” Paige, Anna, and I whispered. The dragon answered, “ROAR!!! HOOOOWWW DOOOO YOOOUUU KNOOOOOW MYYYYYY NAAAAAAMMEE!!!!!!” “Henry, It’s me, Ruchi!” I answered. Mila and Lily went forward a little bit. “RUUUUCHHHHIIII? PAAAAAAIIGEEEE? ANNNNAAAA?” The dragon replied a little nicer. Paige said, “Yes! You remember us! Could you do us a favor?” The dragon responded, “Whaaaaatttt iiiissss iiittttt?” Anna said calmly, “Can we have some of your blood? It’s REALLY important!” Henry’s eyes lit up. He took a stick and poked his hand. blood was gushing all over. Paige quickly grabbed a leaf from a tree and gathered the blood into the leaf. Then she wrapped it up and put it into the sack. and For the first time, Lily and Mila hugged Henry. We all said bye and left.
But then Henry ran toward us. He asked us what we were doing. We told him the whole reason why we were here. and Henry said he would help us. Lily and Mila also introduced themselves. “Whaaaattt dooo yooouuu neeeedddd toooo fiiiinnnddd nneeeexxtt?” asked Henry. I told him we needed to find pixiedust and a crushed diamond. Henry said we could find pixiedust in Fairy Hut which is in Fairy Village. and all we needed to do to get to Fairy Hut is to follow the diamond road. In the diamond road you can get a crushed diamond! We all agreed that was a good idea.
As we walked across diamond road, Anna gathered up a crushed diamond and put it in the sack. But we all got a little bit carried away, and we got more than just one. the diamond road was really long, but we finally reached Fairy Hut. “Hellooo! What’s do you want? If you’re hungry, I have some fairy sweet cookies!” Said one of the fairy’s. “umm… No thanks! I would actually like some pixie dust!” I answered. The fairy replied, “Pixiedust? That’s three diamonds!” Since we collected some diamonds along the diamond road, we had enough to give her. The fairy gave us the pixie dust and I put it in the sack. Once we got out of the Fairy Hut, we all did a little happy dance because we had everything to make the invisibility potion.
It took us three days to get back to our cave. Henry decided he would live with us beside the cave. While Henry slept, Anna, Paige, Ruchi, Mila, Lily, and I read the recipe. This was the Recipe:
- Put the crushed diamond in your cup
- Pour berry juice on top of it
- Pour dragon blood on top of it
- Mix
- Put the daisy in
- Put the two Violets in
- Mix
- Put water
- Put pixiedust
- Mix
- Pour this potion on top of you
We did exactly what it said and it turned dark magenta.The next day we woke up and walked right where we ran away from the invisible person. Then each of us took turns pouring it on us. Henry couldn’t see us, so we knew it worked. “I see somebody!” Lily whispered. Their was a little girl. “You’re the one who chased us?” I asked. “Yes, I was trying to make friends with you but it looked like you couldn’t see me” The girl replied sadly. Anna said, “that’s because you were invisible.” “I am? I found a weird liquid, and I accidently poured it on me. Did that make me invisible?” She questioned. “I think” Mila responded. The girl asked how to fix this and Mila said she had to pour water on herself. We all poured water on ourselves and the girl led our way home. And we were back with our families again.
